All the hard work I’ve put in for year of 2006 finally paid off yesterday when I was suddenly being summoned to see my big big big boss at head office.

On my way there, my heart was pounding so hard initally till it nearly pop out as I was wondering if I did anything wrong or some dumb ass customer had complained big time against me to warrant a personal one-on-one session, till she handed me this:

YIPEEEEE!

The title should read “VERY VERY VERY Happy News” instead. I’ve never ever seen this letter before. Though I know my performance have been spectacular but I know my chances are near zero as the norm for service staff is generally to have worked for at least 5 years or more to be considered.

I’m absolutely thankful to my mentor (the one whom was so heartless, I take all back all the mean things I say about her, that’s amazing what money can do – buy heart!) and other fellow colleagues in my Bukit Timah office as without the teamwork, I wouldn’t have made it this round and got to wait wait wait like the many others.

Other factors do play a part definitely like I’m the lowest rank Relationship Manager in the whole of my priority banking segment, the impressive ‘beat horse fart’ tactics, excellent arrow shooting cum backstabbing skills and of course, the most important, outstanding ‘act blur, act stupid, act innocent’ talent. Ha!

I’m still reeling in the exuberant joy of promotion. I hope its not a once in a lifetime experience..
