Work

Met up with an AVP and a VP from Group Strategic Marketing Communications whom were soliciting for feedback from ground staff on how to improve customer’s satisfaction. Any feedback from a customer’s point of view?

Ramdom Thouhts

1. I hate school.

2. I wish school is over, I passed everything and my degree is ON my lap.

3. I wish I don’t have to read my International Marketing text about Distribution Management so that I can type my portion of assignment.

4. I need new motivations at work.

5. Should I change a new job, new role, new bank?

6. I’m exhausted.

7. I want to watch the Taiwan VCD that is in my living coffee table drawers.

8. Which pair of shoe to wear for Bryan’s wedding dinner on Sunday night?

9. Should I buy a new pair instead?

10. If only I’ve tons of money, I will……

I’m procrastinating. This is bad. I’m doing everything and anything else except my assignment. *WAILS*

Magic Pink

I’m a sucker for beauty products. As long as the literature has the words use-beautiful-natural, I’m sold. After reading about its miraculous claim of turning the application area a natural beautiful pink after using, I went to Watsons to buy it. Deliberated for a while as it was quite costly at $70 for a tiny tube of cream.

Just two small dots on my cheek and everyone in office commented about my lovely rosy cheeks on the first day of application. BUT it didn’t work after one week. And my lips were chapped after using it. Luckily I only used it for the face area and not anywhere else (well, the brochure says you can apply it anywhere that you want to turn pink like your..nipples) lor. My cheeks were fine but my lips was really irritating me.

Sighs..$70 down the drain. So please don’t buy it ok – tried and tested!

Service

I find Singapore’s service standards still very lacking. We should have Japan’s service culture. Though I’ve never been there (my dream holiday destination), all I’ve seen on TV and stories from friends on their service standard never fail to amaze me. Their service is their culture.

Like one of my colleague was at a Japanese bank meeting his customer and when he was waiting for him at the lounge, he observed the way another two of the Japanese bank staff saying goodbye to their own customer after their discussion. They stood at the lift and bowed their heads so low till the lift door close. Or like the way anything is gift-wrapped so exquisitely in Japan. Or like the other day I was watching how the taxi drivers in Japan service the passengers.

But of course, it all comes at a price for nothing is free in this world. Everytime I receive a Japanese gift and was so full of anticipation with all the unwrapping, thinking it must be something fantastic but usually average. And I heard a short taxi ride from the airport to one of my friend’s apartment cost like S$100+.

Nevertheless, I would gladly pay for good service. I’ve enough of obnoxious sales girls, rude taxi drivers and DANGEROUS BUS UNCLES.

Sorry for digressing, actually I wanted to blog about my experience with NTUC Income lately. I’m impressed with their leaps and bounds improvement in their technology to service customers! Now they have a web chat service where you log-in and one of their customer service officer can answer your questions one-on-one online real-time.

Kudos to their innovation.
